How to record your sixty seconds
Your phone, your language, your own words. One take. This is the whole method — it fits on one screen on purpose.
If you do not know what to say, read this
You do not need good English. You do not need a teacher. Say these six lines out loud, with your own words in the gaps. That is a finished video.
- Hello. My name is
- I am from
- I want to work as
- I haveyears of experience in
- I speakand
- I can start on. Thank you for watching.
New to this work? Then replace line four with this, and mean it: “This work is new to me. I learn fast and I am not afraid of hard days.” Every manager has hired someone with no experience. Not one of them has hired someone they could not picture.
Read it. That is allowed. Hold the paper. Look down at it. Nobody minds.
Say it slowly. Slow English is easier to understand than fast English. Slow also sounds calm.
One take is enough. If you stumble, keep going. Nobody has ever been turned down for stumbling.
Smile on the last line. That is the part people remember.
You are not being tested. You are being met.
One rule, and it is the only one. Say only what is true. Never claim a certificate you do not hold or work you have not done. The minute works precisely because it is you — and a manager can tell in ten seconds when it is not.
Six lines not enough?
There is a page of free tips beside this one — where to put your video so a manager actually sees it, what they look at first, and what to do in the week after you send it. A few of the deeper guides are ours and cost a little. They are marked as ours, and nothing about your free profile depends on them.
Four beats, in this order
- Who you are Your name, and the job you do.
- What you have done Two places, not ten.
- One moment that shows how you work Not what you know — how you work. One real moment.
- What you want next The role, and when you are free.
How to film it
- Phone upright. Window in front of you, not behind.
- One take. If you stumble, keep going — that is a person, and a person is what they want to see.
- You may read your notes. Use the six lines or the four beats, and speak in your own words.
- Speak in the language you are comfortable in. Employers want to see how you carry yourself, not a perfect accent.
- About one minute, up to ninety seconds. Stop when the fourth beat is done.

Where it goes
Send us the video — reply to our email, or paste an unlisted link (YouTube or Drive is fine). A person watches it and builds your page by hand. Your page goes live within days, and the link is yours to put on every application — in the field they call Website, Portfolio or Personal page.
Want examples of what to say? The free Hospitality Interview Master Playbook on the resources page walks it through.
